Kalamazoo Valley Musum, Stryker Theatre "The Right Stuff at the Wrong Time" 1:30pm At the start of the Space Age, thirteen female pilots were tested by NASA Dr. William Lovelace to see if they had the "right stuff" for space travel. Dr. Nicolee shared the story of these women, including two from Michigan who passed - or excelled in - the same tests undertaken by the famous "Mercury 7" astronauts, but were denied the opportunity to fly in space.
